The stress of my pregnancy

I know, I know I've been a slacker but I have good reason why I haven't posted in a long time. Lets start at the begining! I was sick with the whole pregnency thing and I told you all that I had the Iv same as the last two times, but this time came with it a whole lot of other complications. So I have hyperemisis and I'm like nausus all day I can kind of deal with that. But this time when I got my pic line I got an infetion in my arm. It turned out to be a staff infection. Well it was the weekend when this happened in the ER so I had to wait until the next Tuesday to get a new one. When I went to radiology I was like this is great because I was in and out. It didin't take long at all like last time. But I wasn't sure if I could drive my self home so I called my mom to come pick me up at the hospital. But she had to go get my kids first from my mother in laws so I had to wait a while. But while I'm waiting I start to itch really bad on my feet. And I had been having allergic reactions to tape and other adhesives so I thought thats what it was from. And I had had an allergic reaction to one of the antibiotics I was taking. So I just told my self well I'm not that far from home I'll just drive myself. So as I'm driving the itch is getting worse and I'm ripping off my boots and my sock just so I can itch my feet. And of course I'm yelling at the traffic because I'm hitting all the red lights and people are driving slow in front of me. But when I get home I immediatly run myself an oatmeal bath so I can calm the itch but when I take off my clothes I notice I have hives all over my body and my face is turning red! So I'm in the bath freaking out because I don't know whats happeneing. And I'm on the phone trying to call my neighbor to see if she can take me to the hospital again, but she wasn't home. So I get out of the bath and I'm rubbing gold bond all over my body as fast as I can and realize that it's not five yet so I might still catch my OB if I call right now. So I do and the nurse says slow down tell me what going on. I tell her about the hives and she says are you having a hard time breathing, and I say well I try to swallow and I can't and my throat is really dry! She tells me to hold on for a sec and it was like 5 seconds she come s back on and says OK the doctor said you need to hang up and call 911. I said ok bye. I've never called 911 so I was still freaking out. But I called them and told them what was going on and they sent out and ambulance followed by a fire truck . I'm not sure why so much but there must have been at least 8 emt and firefighters in my kitchen helping me. They carried me out on the streacher and took me back to St. Marks. When I got there the doctor told me I probably was allergic to the other antibiotic I was taking. So that was just a scary event in and of itself not to mention that I was pregnant so that complicated everything. So I was admitted to the hospital and then it took a day to figure out what other anitbiotic they could give me being pregnant. And then my OB wanted to monitor me to make sure I didn't react to that one also. Because just with this pregnacy alone I found out that I'm allergic to two antibiotics, Latex, adhesives (tape) and so you just never know what else it going to make me break out and itch! Ok so now I'm able to eat a little ie. dry toast, cottage cheese, soda crakers and water. When I was done with two weeks of Iv antibiotics I was able to get my pic line out. But I still have all these areas on my arms where I have rashes and scars from rashes where I had adhesives. So what is the moral of this story, If it's a boy or a girl I'm done!!! I will have three kids and only three kids because I will never go through this again!!! I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!!!! So now I hope I can just focus on the hyperemisis but anything could happen. I now see my OB every two weeks instead of every month just to make sure nothing else goes wrong!!! So if it seems like I was dead and you didn't hear from me thats because I felt like I was dying and I was just in bed all day every day!! So ladies who have "normal pregnacies" I don't ever want to hear you complain about morning sickness or heart burn again!!(j/K) ? Thast;s my drama for the month I hope you all enjoyed the story of my life!!

Oh my gosh, that is crazy. I am so sorry. I'm crossing my fingers that it's a girl.

holy crap Anna! I would be done too. And you are right about the complaining from "normal pregnant people" I felt the same way, I wanted this for so long that I didn't feel like I had any room to complain about anything. Even still, with all the swelling and how uncomfortable I'm getting I really try not to vocalize any of that because I constantly remind myself how badly I wanted this for 2 lonnnng years. You won't hear any complaining from me!! But I am sympathizing with you about all this, what an awful thing to go through, good thing you have this blog you can share with your baby when he/she is old enough to know how much you went through for him/her...btw...I HOPE it's a girl!!! ;)
