Temple and Christmas

So this post is a little personal. Yesterday I had the opportunity to go and clean part of the Salt Lake Temple. I was nervous I had never done this before. My sister in law Ev who cleans at the Bountiful temple said you go in your church clothes and they will give you clothes to clean in. And she said you will have an amazing experience while you are cleaning. But that doesn't even begin to describe it. When we got there we got changed in to our cleaning clothes and then we broke up into teams and each team had a housekeeper with us to show us what to clean. Our housekeeper said it was going to be dirtier than usual because they hadn't cleaned since Saturday, but I'm telling you there was no dust anywhere. It was so clean in places where you would think dust would collect there was not a speck anywhere. And then when we were vacuuming it was hard to see where you had vacuumed all ready because there was nothing on the floor. The dirtiest place was the children's waiting room of course. If your ward ever has the opportunity to clean it some time I would highly recommend it. Just being there was amazing and then seeing things you don't normally get to see when you do a session was way awesome. I learned things I never knew about the temple. But it makes me have a greater love for it, and I just have this hunger to want to go back so much more now. I will definitely make it more of a priority to go there more often. And if you live in Utah you have probably more than one temple within a 40 mile radius so you have no excuses not to go. I felt the spirit so strong just in cleaning the temple. I can't wait to do it again.

On another note I'm so excited that my girlfriends from college are coming into town this month. Allyson lives in northern Idaho and Tanya lives in Vegas so it's going to be great to see them. And then all the girls from around Utah will get together with them. We had some crazy times at Snow but it was always fun with those girls. I love the holiday's when everyone comes into town.  Now if I can just find the one thing that Micah must have for christmas I'll be done shopping for the kids. But then I have to shop for my big kid, Dwayne! He wants a remote control hummer that is like sixty bucks I said to him don't you want something more practical this year. But he said no I want that hummer. Ugghh!!! I still love this time of year and now that we finally have snow it looks like Christmas time!!!!
